Marta Kostyuk, who lost all four of her previous WTA semi-finals, saved a set point when she was down 4-5 in the second set, before winning after 91 minutes. Winning her first WTA women’s singles championship helped the Ukrainian beauty jump 12 places, climbing to 40th in the world.
Last year, Marta Kostyuk won the first WTA women’s doubles title of her career, at the Slovenia Open 2022, with Czech teammate Tereza Martincova. The tennis player born in 2002 also reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open earlier this year, when paired with Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Possessing blonde hair, a model-like body, and a height of 1m75, Marta Kostyuk is considered the new version of “Russian Doll” Maria Sharapova, who retired at the age of 32 in February 2020 with 36 WTA women’s singles titles, including five Grand Slams.
On her personal Instagram page, Marta Kostyuk often posts photos showing off the beautiful curves of a girl who is full of life. Many fans believe that the Ukrainian beauty is hotter and more fiery than her idol Sharapova.
