LeBron James met Savannah Brinson, a cheerleader and softball player from an opposition school, while they were both emerging stars in basketball and football at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, the place of his birth. Since high school, LeBron James’ wife Savannah James has constantly been by his side.
They were married in 2013 and are natives of Akron, Ohio. LeBron has made it very apparent that he would be “absolutely nothing” without his queen protecting his corner as his NBA career has soared over the years. The basketball legend is known to fans as King James.
Savannah revealed to Cleveland Magazine in 2018 that she met LeBron when she was a 16-year-old sophomore in high school; he was a year older and a student at a different school. He had requested her phone number from a friend, but she recalled that she had chosen to accept his number instead.
“One day I’m sitting around — I was probably bored or something — and I’m like, ‘Oh, I forgot! I have this number for this guy that I can call. He seemed interested, so let’s see.” she said.
According to Savannah, who spoke to Harper’s Bazaar in 2010: “I knew he loved me when I left my leftovers from dinner in his car. I’d totally forgotten about them, and he brought them to me. I think he just wanted another excuse to come and see me.”
She attended a basketball game that LeBron invited her to. The two met up with pals to go to Applebee’s afterward. A few weeks later, they had their first solo date at Outback Steakhouse. This was quite a slick move done by James off the court instead of on the court.
Savannah James, the NBA great LeBron James’ companion, is from Ohio and has four additional siblings. Savannah told Cleveland Magazine that her parents, Jennifer and JK, always had an open-door policy with their children’s friends, instilling in them an attitude of giving and kindness.“If they had something going on at home, or they just needed a haven, my mom and dad always opened up their doors.” she shared.
To encourage and support young women in the Akron, Ohio area, she started a mentoring program called Women of the Future in 2017. She stated to Cleveland Magazine that she prefers to keep her private life private but will go public with her philanthropic endeavors.
“I’m still a very private person,” she said. “But these things reflect the passion that I have as far as giving back, the philanthropic part of me. So with those things, I don’t mind stepping out.”
Stylecaster claims that Savannah has operated several enterprises over the years. In 2013, she built a juice bar, and in 2018, she collaborated with American Signature to launch the Home Court furniture brand. The pair’s 6-year-old daughter Zhuri is the spotlight of Savannah’s most current blog and YouTube channel, “All Things Zhuri.”
On and off the court, Savannah is her husband’s biggest supporter and frequently shows up to LeBron’s games. On February 7, 2023, the business tycoon was present to support the basketball player as he became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
The Unity in the James family has always been strong and Savannah is the centerpiece of this unity. She holds things together and maintains dignity and discipline on and off the court and in their respective endeavors.
