The match, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, will be a clash between Bill Gates and Federer on one side and Ndal and famous host Trevor Noah on the other. The host of The Daily Show is born and raised in South Africa. The special match mentioned above is named “Match for Africa”, and will take place tomorrow (February 7).
Billionaire Bill Gates will stand side by side with Roger Federer
All proceeds from the match will be donated to Federer’s charity fund. Since its inception, this fund has spent $52 million to educate more than 1.5 million children in six African countries and Switzerland.
This is not the first time the Microsoft co-founder has laced up tennis shoes with Federer. In 2017, Bill Gates and the tennis legend also played a charity match to raise money for Africa in Seattle. The match grossed $2 million.
In 2018, the richest billionaire on the planet appeared again in a similar match in Silicon Valley. The match brought in 2.5 million USD for charity activities.

According to Tennis World, tickets to this special match start at 11 USD and were sold out in just 10 minutes after going on sale last year. The match is expected to have the participation of 50,000 people and is expected to set a new world record for the most attended tennis match.

Federer founded his eponymous charity in 2003 with the belief that a good education will empower children to have a better future. The Federer Foundation is currently collaborating with many localities in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Switzerland to promote children’s education.
“The upcoming match for South Africa is a dream come true. I will play in my mother’s homeland with my biggest rival and my friend – Rafael Nadal. We share Not only my love for tennis but also my wish for every child to have a better start with education,” Federer shared.
