A jersey worn by Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes has sold at auction for $213,500, per TMZ Sports.
Goldin orchestrated the bidding for the jersey, which Mahomes wore during his team’s 30-29 home win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 10, 2022.
The final winning bid was $175,000. However, a buyer’s premium worth 22 percent of the final bid was added on to that figure for the final $213,500 tally, marking the most expensive Mahomes jersey ever sold at auction, per TMZ Sports.
Bidding started at $10,000. A total of 32 bids were made before the winning offer was made.
That Raiders matchup was quite an interesting game for Mahomes en route to his second regular-season MVP, second Lombardi Trophy and second Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes completed 29-of-43 passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns. All of those scores went to tight end Travis Kelce.
Kansas City fell behind 20-7 late in the second quarter, but Mahomes led a furious comeback that included three second-half touchdown passes to Kelce. The Chiefs moved to 4-1 with the win en route to a 14-3 season capped by a Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are now searching for their third Super Bowl in five seasons when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.
