Bronny was born in 2004, plays in the number 1 position – ball-leading defender. He will enter the NBA Draft this year, 2024.

Meanwhile, Bryce was born in 2007 and plays the number 2 position – throwing defender. Bryce is currently playing basketball for Sierra Canyon School.

Bronny James Review

Bronny is someone who is rated higher than Bryce at the same age. According to the RSCI rankings, Bronny is the 17th ranked talent in his group of players. He is highly appreciated for his pitching ability and especially his defense. Defensive skills are a highlight that LeBron’s oldest son has shown since his high school days at Sierra Canyon.

Bronny is not a player with good offensive skills like his father. He is a ball-dribbling defender who tends to coordinate the ball and create assists for teammates. Bronny’s physical condition at that time could be compared to some players in the NBA.

However, Bronny’s growth momentum has slowed down after having health problems last year. He suffered a cardiac arrest before the season started. After returning, Bronny has not been able to regain her best form. He only averaged 4.8 points per game with a shooting efficiency of 36.6% and 26.7% from the 3-point line. That poor performance significantly reduced Bronny’s chances of reaching the NBA.

Bronny is considered a “3&D” player (3-point shooting and defense), but his height of 1m86 is an obstacle that prevents him from marking his opponents. The ability to throw the ball ineffectively is also a problem that makes many scouts not rate Bronny too highly.

Despite those concerns, Bronny still has a chance to be selected because of what he showed at level 3. However, Bronny’s position in the 2024 NBA Draft will be low, only in the late rounds of round 2.

Review of Bryce James

Bryce just finished his third year at Sierra Canyon as a point guard. Scouts rate Bryce at only 3/5 stars. 247 Sports rates him as the 148th ranked talent in his class. According to ESPN, Bryce is the 22nd ranked talent in the state of California and outside the top 100 nationally.

Bronny is usually in the top 50 among players of the same age, while Bryce is much worse. He is not as physically fit as his brother, but is considered more suitable for the NBA. Bryce is still young and needs time for his body to fully develop. From high school, Bryce began to develop rapidly, both technically and physically. Bryce has had good matches against top opponents in his age group, most notably Cameron Boozer, who is ranked No. 2 on the prospect list of the 2007 class.

Playing as a point guard, Bryce is capable of making 3-point shots with high efficiency. He is a good 3-point shooter and also plays good defense. Bryce has many ways to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Bryce’s height of 1m93 also fits the NBA’s physical requirements better than Bronny, who is only 1m86 tall.

To compare the two brothers, Bronny is the one with a greater chance of entering the NBA. However, Bryce is a player with more potential, his skill set has more ways to develop than his brother. However, Bryce needs a lot of effort to develop to his full potential.
