Polish Buff Laced Chickens are a very rare species of crested chicken. They are a European breed well known for their distinctive crests, also known as “top hats.” An older breed is believed to have originated in the Netherlands and dates back to the 14th century.
Known for being a docile breed, they are quite gentle, but can be easily startled as their large crests limit their vision, startling them easily.
Polish chickens have rich golden feathers, carefully coated in creamy white with delicate slate blue legs and toes.
Their flowing crests of feathers, along with a lively demeanor, make them one of the most prized breeds of chicken.
This species comes in two varieties: bearded and beardless. When ordering from a breeder, buyers usually get both.
Chickens are productive egg layers and rarely become broody, producing clean, white eggs.
Chicks are a creamy beige color with a dark tan marking above each eye.
