Tyrese Haliburton made NBA history during Thursday’s game.
On Thursday evening, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (in Las Vegas) by a score of 128-119.
With the victory, they have now advanced to the In-Season Tournament Championship, which will take place on Saturday evening (they will play either the Pelicans or Lakers).
Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 27 points, seven rebounds, 15 assists and one block while shooting 11/19 from the field and 3/9 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
During the game, he also made NBA history.
Via The NBA: “Tyrese Haliburton just posted his 3rd game this season with 25+ points, 15+ assists and 0 turnovers.
No other player has more than 1 such game in their CAREER since turnovers were first tracked in 1977-78.”
Haliburton made his first All-Star Game last season, and is likely going to make his second this year.
In 18 games this season, he is averaging 26.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 12.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 44.1% from the three-point range.
The former Iowa State star was the 12th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and is in his fourth season in the league.
He was traded to the Pacers during the middle of the 2021-22 season (via the Sacramento Kings).
Tyrese Haliburton would NOT be denied reaching the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament Championship!
