Swiatek (right) believes that he has an “opposite” personality to Sabalenka (left)
Speaking latest, Swiatek told Rzeczpospolita: “We have two completely different personalities and it creates opposition. I won’t say I’m a good character, and she’s a bad character, because it will create many negative things”.
Swiatek doesn’t want to judge, she says: “We’re just different. I don’t want to be one of those people who judge. Social media gossip can make things misunderstood, I want to offend I want to show respect and kindness to my opponents and everyone.”
Swiatek and Sabalenka are becoming two main opponents, they often encounter each other, making deep advances in the biggest women’s tennis events such as WTA 500, WTA 1000 or Grand Slam.
Polish tennis player Swiatek experienced a series of memorable achievements in 2023, where she won 6 WTA titles, after playing 79 matches (68 wins, 11 losses). Sabalenka has a weaker record but is still very impressive, the 25-year-old tennis player has won 3 titles, going through 69 matches (55 wins, 14 losses). They promise to continue to be the biggest “rivalry pair” at WTA 2024.
