Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp crossed paths on Monday as they both visited Adidas’ headquarters in Germany.
The pair stood alongside South Africa rugby captain Siya Kolisi and Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden for a photo, with Kolisi holding a soccer ball and signed football.
Mahomes and Gulden also took a separate photo together, which the Adidas executive captioned with glowing praise for the Kansas City star.
‘One of the best ever…. Patrick Mahomes visiting HQ! Not only a fantastic athlete but also a very very nice guy!,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘Thanks for coming… it is an honor to work with you!’
Mahomes has been an Adidas athlete since going pro in 2017, while Klopp signed a personal endorsement deal with the German sportswear brand in 2020.
However, Liverpool’s uniforms are manufactured by Nike.
Mahomes is no stranger to soccer, as he and his wife, Brittany, are investors into NWSL club the Kansas City Current.
Klopp, meanwhile, was quoted by new Titans coach Brian Callahan in his introductory press conference in January.
The Liverpool manager, who has been at Anfield since 2015, announced that he’d be leaving the club at the end of the season less than 24 hours later.
Last month, Mahomes won his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs as they defeated the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
He’s been enjoying his offseason since that win, as he and teammate Travis Kelce were seen partying in Las Vegas late last month.
Monday was an eventful day for Kelce as his brother, Jason, retired from the NFL.
