Sharapova Radiates in Black Bikini during Venice Boat Trip with Fiancé

MARIA SHARAPOVA showed she has maintained her incredible figure even after retiring from tennis as she enjoyed a boat holiday in Venice with fiance Alexander Gilkes.

The 34-year-old quit the sport last year after winning the career Grand Slam and a silver medal at the London Olympics in 2012.

Sharapova, wearing a black bikini, was seen chilling with her partner Gilkes and some friends on board a boat.

It’s believed the Russian star is in Italy for the Venice Film Festival as she was recently spotted at a movie premiere on Thursday evening.

Sharapova called time on her 19-year career in 2020 after winning five Grand Slam titles.

She famously won Wimbledon aged 17 in 2004 before going on to become world No1 a year later – the first Russian woman to achieve the feat.

Sharapova then won the US Open in 2006, the Australian Open in 2008 and completed the career Grand Slam at the French Open in 2012.

The tennis sensation won her final slam at Roland Garros two years later.

Sharapova began dating British businessman Gilkes in 2018 before the couple got engaged last December.

She was previously engaged to Slovenian basketballer Sasha Vujacic and dated fellow tennis star Grigor Dimitrov between 2012 and 2015.

Sharapova is likely to be following the ongoing US Open tournament in New York.

Defending champion Naomi Osaka has reached the third round and so has British teenage sensation Emma Raducanu.

In the men’s singles, Andy Murray is OUT after losing his tournament opener to Stefanos Tsitsipas in a five-set thriller.

But Novak Djokovic is still in the US Open and will become the first man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles with a win at Flushing Meadows.
