Former champion Maria Sharapova became the center of attention when she arrived at Wimbledon to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her first Grand Slam title.
Sharapova arrived at Wimbledon earlier this week to participate in a series of side events before heading to Centre Court on July 3 to watch the matches. She sat in the royal box alongside her fiancé, businessman Alexander Gilkes. They welcomed their first son last year.

Despite being a new mother, Sharapova has maintained her stunning appearance, reminiscent of her playing days. She is currently a brand ambassador for several prestigious fashion houses and owns multiple companies.
Sharapova won her first Grand Slam, one of five major titles, at Wimbledon in 2004. The “Russian Doll,” then 17, defeated Serena Williams in the final in just two sets, 6-1 and 6-4. She is among the few players to have won all four Grand Slam titles, with two at the French Open in 2012 and 2014. The former world number one retired four years ago, ending a glorious career with 36 titles, including the 2004 WTA Finals.
“Maria is a complete package of talent and beauty,” said Ian Hewitt, Chairman of the All England Club, which hosts Wimbledon, during the celebration with Sharapova on July 2. “She represents one of the most exciting eras in tennis. Her legacy is not just in titles, but in the unforgettable moments on the court.”

Sharapova’s striking appearance, with a height of 1.88 meters, helped her maintain the position of the highest-earning female tennis player for 11 consecutive years. Her career was interrupted multiple times due to injuries and the doping scandal in 2016. “I am here to relive the best memories of the summer of 2004,” Sharapova said. “Wimbledon has always held a special place in my heart. From here, I stepped out into the world, opening up a wonderful period in my life.”
In addition to Sharapova, this year’s Wimbledon gathered many stunning women who are the girlfriends of renowned tennis players. They attended a major fashion brand’s party on the evening of July 3. Among them were the girlfriends of Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Thanasi Kokkinakis, and Nick Kyrgios. Kyrgios, who is recovering from an injury, has taken up the role of commentator for several matches at Wimbledon this year, including Novak Djokovic’s opening match against Vit Kopriva on the afternoon of July 2.
