“We played in an exhibition match, we were both young and he hadn’t won any Grand Slam titles yet. I don’t know if he had won any tournaments yet. He said if he won , I have to pay for dinner. And I agree”, ATP quoted Maria Sharapova sharing in a conversation with Novak Djokovic.

“He was the winner. I asked him if he was serious when it was just the two of us going out to eat. Finally, we went to the Japanese store. He took out an old Kodak camera and asked someone to fix it. “It feels like I was auctioning off dinner,” Sharapova added.

Two famous tennis players in the world of tennis first met each other in an exhibition match in Indian Wells more than a decade ago. Sharapova said she hardly remembers anything about the people she played with, but was impressed with dinner with “Nole”.

The Serbian tennis player was happy to hear “Russian Doll” recount memorable memories, but he revealed that he lost his camera and the photo taken with Shaporava.
