Serena Williams is a big fan of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. She has shared her love for the series many times, and now, she will be able to fulfil a big desire of hers when it comes to the show. Recently, Netflix shared a teaser for their ongoing live-action version of the show, which features Williams in all her glory.
This is not the first time Williams was able to take part in a show. She managed to snag an appearance on the original run of the animation series as a minor role in one episode.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show that is close to the hearts of many. The cartoon first aired in 2005 and ended after 3 seasons, becoming the highlight of the childhood of many people in the world. Serena Williams was one of them and developed a deep love for the show. Now that Netflix is making the live-action version of the series, they managed to bank on Williams’s love for it for a promotional video.
In the video Netflix recently shared on their ‘X’ page, Williams steps up to the baseline to serve. She jumps high with the use of air and hits the ball, which then ignites in flames. As it landed on the opposite side, a barrel drum holding water exploded, and the Earth ripped as she landed. All the time, Aang’s arrow has been glowing on her forehead, along with her eyes.

While she just appeared in the promotional video for the show, Williams managed to appear on the real deal when it originally aired.
Not many are aware of this, but Williams would manage to land a role in ATLA and its sequel series, The Legend of Korra. Her appearance would be an episode long both times. In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Williams acted as the voice of Ming, who was a guard at the Capital City Prison and brought meals for Iroh, the fire bender.
She would watch over the character before his eventual escape, but before it, she took a liking to him and would sneak in meals for him. In The Legend of Korra, Williams acted as a ‘Female Sage’. Her appearance was much shorter this time, but it went on to show her love for the series. She has now promoted it and
