“I found that angle so don’t look at me sideways when in person I’m a tad thicccker,” the tennis pro teased
Serena Williams has her gym selfies down to a science.
On Tuesday, the tennis pro posted a series of mirror photos on Instagram during her workout. The 42-year-old joked that she’s often spending half of her time getting the right angle to look slim.
“I spend 50% of my time in the gym taking selfies,” she wrote. “Trying to get that perfect angle, that angle that makes me look snatched 😫. Well I found that angle so don’t look at me sideways when in person I’m a tad thicccker lol 😂”
In the comments section, several of Williams’ followers laughed at how relatable her post was.
“😂 I know the feeling! 🙌🏾 🔥” one person wrote while another added, “The greatest athlete of all time is just like us trying to find the angle 😍😂”
Another follower commented, “😂snatch away! You always look absolutely gorgeous regardless.”
Williams has been trying to get back into the gym since welcoming her second daughter Adira in August with her husband Alexis Ohanian. The couple is also parents to 6-year-old daughter Olympia.
In October, the seven-time Wimbledon champion shared a photo on Instagram that showed her working on her ab muscles in the gym alongside her daughter.
In the photo, Williams laid on her back with her hands on her lower stomach on an exercise mat. Her head was blocked from view by Olympia, who sat cross-legged at the top of the mat watching her mom as she trained.
“Olympia watching me try to get my ab muscles working again. Here comes fitness!” she captioned the post.
Williams was even keeping up with her fitness during her latest pregnancy. Earlier this year, the 23-time Grand Slam champ shared mirror-selfie videos of herself working out in the gym on Instagram, showing off her growing baby bump.
“Just done some cardio and then I’m going in for some legs,” Williams told the camera while slapping her thigh. “Leggo!”
The next video showed the tennis legend, in black bicycle shorts and a sports bra, picking up and tossing around a medicine ball before she swung it side to side to work her legs, along with squats.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ song “Under the Bridge” played in the background before Williams returned on a pink mat in the following video, with 4 Non Blondes’ song “What’s Up?” on.
