Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recorded his second triple-double of the 2024 Paris Olympics in Thursday’s semifinals win over Serbia. Finishing with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, James did everything for Team USA.
Team USA will face France in the gold medal game, and will likely need more of what James provided in this semifinals win over Serbia. France defeated Germany on Thursday to clinch their spot in the gold medal game, as they will look to defend home court against Team USA.
James’ triple-double on Thursday made him the only player in Olympics history with multiple triple-doubles:
LeBron James finished with his second Olympic career triple-double tonight, scoring 16 points with 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Reacting to this history-making performance from her husband, Savannah James shared a post on Instagram that said it all. Not needing any words, she simply shared five emojis that captured her exact feeling:
James entered this game atop FIBA’s Paris Olympics MVP leaderboard, and certainly bolstered his case with this performance. While it was Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry who led Team USA in scoring with 36 points, James’ all-around performance was historic.
Through five games, James leads the entire Paris Olympics in assists per game. Averaging 8.2 assists, James has also averaged 14.2 points and 7.0 rebounds.
After his performance on Thursday, James now leads Team USA in points, assists, rebounds, and field goal percentage.

At age 39, James has shown no signs of slowing down. Having Team USA one win away from a gold medal, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has put together a historic Olympics run.
