Patrick Mahomes has come a long way since high school.
Once upon a time, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar was a budding quarterback at Whitehouse High School in Texas who also flirted with professional baseball.

Ever since then, Mahomes has been on a path to greatness, hoovering up Super Bowl rings and MVP awards while slowly chasing down Tom Brady’s legacy as the NFL GOAT.
Mahomes’ high school sweetheart wife, Brittany, has seen it all and been by her husband’s side throughout his glorious journey to the summit of pro football.
Recently, the 28-year-old mother of two shared a throwback photo of the adorable couple in high school and reflected on their 12-year relationship together.
“Who knew 12 years later we would be where we are at!” Brittany wrote on her Instagram Story.
“This life with you,” she added with a watery eyes and heart emoji, and tagging her pro football player husband.
The first image featured Brittany grabbing a glum-looking Patrick’s cheeks from a recent family photo-shoot.
The second included the famous pair back in their high school days in Texas on what appears to be a game day.
Pat is looking similarly downbeat in the throwback photo as a fresh-faced Brittany proudly shows off her braces and grabs his cheeks.
The younger Patrick lacks all of the facial hair he has developed in adulthood and his short haircut is a far-cry from the curly brown locks fans have become accustomed to seeing.

Pat and Brittany have been with each other since those early days and tied the knot in Maui in 2022.
Brittany had a brief career as a soccer player, first at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she scored 31 career goals, the second-most in program history, before heading to Icelandic club UMF Afturelding.
She ultimately gave up on her career and now makes a living as a personal trainer while also having a key role as an investor in National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) franchise, Kansas City Current.
Brittany, who struck up a friendship with Taylor Swift at Chiefs games last season, is extremely active on social media and often treats fans to glimpses at Mahomes family life.
Over Easter, she showed how her and Patrick were spending time with their little ones, Sterling, 3, and Patrick ‘Bronze’, 15 months.
They took part in an egg hunt and she wished her followers a ‘Happy Easter’.
It comes after Brittany recently shared the diet ‘secret’ to Patrick’s Super Bowl success with the Chiefs.
KC captured their third Super Bowl title of the Andy Reid era back in February after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Super Bowl LVIII.
The Chiefs became the first team since the 2004 New England Patriots to win back-to-back Lombardi Trophies, and can win an unprecedented three-peat next season.
They have already made bold moves to make that happen, and recently added a former Super Bowl-winning QB to their ranks.
