Maria Sharapova is currently pummeling her opponents at the 2013 Australian Open enroute to another possible Australian Open title.  However, with her tall stature and classically chiseled face, she could have opted for a modeling career too, something which she has parlayed successfully into lucrative endorsements with some of the world’s top and exclusive brands.  Using her superstar status in the tennis world, she has successfully used her image as a brand model as well!

One thing good about Maria though is she has not fallen into the trap of celebrity trappings and has concentrated herself on her tennis and improving her game, knowing fully well, that without her credentials there – her modeling stints and her endorsements can easily disappear into thin air!  Smart girl!
