With this purchase, Sharapova became the neighbor of a very famous pop icon, Katy Perry. American philanthropist Ann Lurie recently listed her Montecito Estate for $13 million on sale. Now, closing the deal with a whopping amount, Maria Sharapova becomes the new property owner.

This Montecito property was bought by former real estate titan Robert H. Lurie in 2008. At that moment, the property was sold for $8.3 million. Now following Sharapova’s purchase, she will soon start enjoying this beautiful mansion, which has been painstakingly maintained for almost six years now.

Recently, Maria Sharapova bought Lurie’s Montecito Estate for $11.8 million. Designed by the famous architect, Lockwood de Forest Jr in 1949, this lavish property has a main house with five huge bedrooms. Properly guarded by high walls and gates, Sharapova’s new property is situated at the high foothills of the Montecito downtown.
