Maria Sharapova feels alone and so she decided to publish her phone number. To remain close to her fans, the now former Russian tennis player wrote her username on Instagram (310-564-7981) where it is possible to reach her by phone or via text message. “Send me your messages and I will reply to everyone”, wrote Maria, known to all as Masha, a 32 year old native of Njagan in Siberia.

Sharapova, who remains a world tennis star pursued by millions of fans, announced her retirement about a month ago and is now in home quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic. Last week Maria held a two-hour Zoom conference call with 150 fans. The winner of five Grand Slams (2004 Wimbledon, 2006 US Open, 2008 Australian Open, 2012 and 2014 French Open) enjoyed that experience and now she thought of publishing her number on social media, making herself available for questions or simply saying hello. Maria added that “fantastic recipes are also welcome”.
