Talented young defender LaMelo Ball had to ask for help from the medical team to leave the field after landing poorly and suffering a serious ankle injury.
This unfortunate situation occurred during the match between Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic on November 27. The defender born in 2001 lay on the field in pain and could not put pressure on his sore leg.

When there was more than 2 minutes left in the second half of the match between the Hornets and Magic, LaMelo Ball, after attempting to attack, landed poorly on his right foot.
He suffered an aerial collision from Orlando striker Paolo Banchero, then fell and had to lie on the field for a few more seconds before the match was suspended.
The medical team immediately entered the field and took the 22-year-old defender to the locker room. There is currently no update regarding Ball’s injury.
LaMelo Ball is a rare bright spot for the Charlotte Hornets, the team that is ranked 12th out of 15 teams in the East. Ball personally averaged more than 32 points with 9 assists and 7 rebounds in the last 9 matches, along with a 44% 3PT shooting rate.
Injury is scary for anyone. However, Hornets fans have reason to be more worried because Melo has pain in his right ankle, where he suffered a fracture and had to miss the last 3 months of last season.
If Ball has to retire for a long time, the Charlotte Hornets will certainly fall into a serious crisis at the defender position. Besides LaMelo Ball, the other PG, Terry Rozier, is also suffering from a groin injury and has been out of action for 3 weeks.
