Draymond Green, known for his fierce on-court rivalry with LeBron James, recently spoke about the possibility of joining forces with his close friend and NBA superstar.
Despite the years of intense competition between Green’sGolden State Warriors and James’sCleveland Cavaliers, their bond off the court has remained strong.
The two basketball icons faced off in four consecutive NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018, with their teams developing one of the most notable rivalries in recent history.
Despite this, Green has expressed his admiration and affection for James, whom he considers a brother.
In a recent episode of the Point Game podcast, Green addressed the ongoing speculation about a potential collaboration with James.
“Unless LeBron [James] comes to Golden State I don’t really see that happening”

However, he made it clear that his loyalty lies with the Warriors.
“Unless Bron comes to Golden State, I don’t really see that happening,” Green stated.
“For me, personally, if the Warriors will have me until I’m done and I tie my shoestrings in the knot and toss them things above the telephone wire, that’s where I’ll be.”
Green’s commitment to the Warriors is unwavering, and he reiterated his desire to finish his career where it began.
“As much as I would love the opportunity to play with ‘Bron one day, I thought I would have an opportunity this summer with Team USA, but that didn’t happen for me. And so I think that probably puts a wrap, you know, a bow on the possibility of that because as long as this franchise will have me, it’s where I’ll be,” he added.
The Warriors, known for exploring all possibilities to strengthen their team, had considered the idea of acquiring LeBron James before this season’s trade deadline.
Though this move did not materialize, Green speculated on how the team might have adapted if James had joined them.
“The basketball, I think that’s the easiest part because you got a bunch of guys who know the game and ain’t in competition with the next guy. Very at peace with where they are. The number one thing would be to win. You also have a group of guys that know how to win,” Green mentioned on Melo’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast.
“I think that teams win the championship, no problem.”
With LeBron James potentially opting out of his contract this summer, the NBA world is abuzz with possibilities.
If James decides to test free agency, the Warriors could be one of the teams vying for his signature.
However, Green remains focused on his current team and the goal of securing another championship.
“Nothing excites me more than doing everything in my power to win a fifth NBA championship with the team I won my four championships with,” Green said, emphasizing his desire to win another ring with longtime teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
