According to ESPN, per a source, “Bronny James’ contract begins at $1,157,143 in 2024-25 and progresses to $1,955,377 the following year, $2,296,271 in 2026-27 and $2,486,955 for a team option in 2027-28.”

“We view Bronny as [a] Case Study One because [of] his base level of feel, athleticism, point-of-attack defender, shooting, passing,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said in a recent interview. “There’s a lot to like about his game, and as we build out our player development program holistically, he’s going to have a great opportunity to become an excellent NBA player.”

In addition to Redick, Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka said in a statement that, “[Bronny] is a person of high character and someone who works incredibly hard. He has the quality we look for in drafting players and adding to our development (program).”

In addition to James, the Lakers also signed, this year’s No. 17 draft pick, Dalton Knecht.

In July 2023, the young athlete collapsed during practice with his freshman team at the University of Southern California. Bronny experienced a cardiac arrest, later attributed by doctors to a congenital heart defect. Following rehabilitation and ongoing medical supervision, Bronny made his debut for the USC basketball team nearly five months into his first college season.

We know that millions will flock to Bronny and LeBron’s first official game together. We cannot wait to see what magic the duo will bring to the court.
