Here and above, Maria Sharapova modeling looks from the NikeLab x Sacai collection.
On dressing for a workout:
“I usually like to keep my workout gear neutral, but I do like to add a pop of color to make me happy. When I’m lifting weights, and I look at the wardrobe that I’m wearing, a little bit of color gives me a smile on my face—either a flash of the bra on the side under the shirt or the straps being a contrast color to the top I’m wearing.”
On being comfortable and chic:
“I like to play with proportions a lot. It’s really about balance. If I wear something tighter on the bottom, I usually wear a much looser top, but not everything I wear is very tight. I like to layer. I’m always cold, so I like to have layers underneath that show different color combinations as well.”
On Accessorizing:
“I keep my accessories pretty minimal when I’m playing. I typically just wear a cross and simple earrings. When I was younger, I used to wear bracelets and longer earrings, but I’ve cut down on that in recent years.”
On Staying Away from Trends:
“I have a cross that my parents gave me when I was a young girl, and that’s really the only item I’ve held onto. Otherwise I try not to attach myself to too many things or too many trends because fashion evolves and taste changes. Things that I liked many years ago I don’t really like now, and I’m sure that will change in years to come.”

Her Fall Wish List:
“I love jewelry, and I love rings. I’ve collected rings ever since I was a young girl. I try to gift myself a ring or two every year. I haven’t done that in a while, so maybe that will be my new purchase.”
