The glam red carpet appearance comes after the tennis star was recently suspended for taking banned drug Meldonium,

The number nine-ranked tennis player in the world revealed in March that she failed a drug test at the 2016 Australian Open and was provisionally suspended from the sport.

She failed a drug test for the banned substance meldonium and is thought to face a four-year ban from tennis, though the punishment could be reduced if she can show she did not intend to cheat.

The president of the Russian tennis federation Shamil Tarpishchev recently said Maria could have her disciplinary hearing for doping in June.

Maria has said she took meldonium for medical reasons and was not aware it had been banned for 2016.

She was dropped from a slew of lucrative endorsements and asked to step down as a United Nations ambassador after she admitted to failing the drug test.
