How Much Will Bronny James Earn in the 2024/25 NBA Season with the Lakers? LeBron’s Son’s Contract Details Revealed

Bronny James may not be the brightest talent in the 2024 NBA Draft, but he still receives a lot of attention. Because he is the son of LeBron James, the number 1 star in the NBA.

Bronny James can earn a lot of money from advertising contracts. However, his NBA contract will not be high, or even low, compared to other rookies of the same age. Because, Bronny was only selected in round 2 of the 2024 NBA Draft.

So how much can Bronny earn in the 2024/25 season? Join Sporting News to learn about the contract of rookie LA Lakers.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Bronny will sign a long-term contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. He will always play with the Lakers squad in the NBA instead of playing in the G-League.

The initial contracts of NBA players are limited based on their position in the NBA Draft. The earlier players are selected, the higher their salaries will be and vice versa. By being selected in the 55th round, Bronny’s base salary will be lower than most of his peers.

But Bronny is a rare exception. His agent, Rich Paul, revealed in May 2024, before the NBA Draft, that his client would not sign a “two way” contract . That statement may cause some teams to lose interest in Bronny, but it also ensures he has a good salary. With the Lakers choosing Bronny, they will definitely accept Bronny’s request.

By comparison, the Denver Nuggets signed 2023 second-round pick (pick 32) Jalen Pickett ($5.8 million guaranteed) to a four-year, $8.2 million contract. In contrast, last year’s eventual second-round pick, Chris Livingston, agreed to a four-year, $7.6 million ($3.1 million guaranteed) contract with the Bucks.

“two way” players earn about $560,000 in the 2023/24 season, half the league’s minimum rookie salary.

The above numbers will not change much in the 2024/25 season. Therefore, Bronny James should expect a guaranteed salary of around $1.2 million/year . If he plays well and secures a position with a Lakers First team, he will receive a slightly higher salary.
