Golden State Warriors’ All-Star Shooter Forced to Sit Out for Unforeseen Reasons

In just 3 days, the Golden State Warriors received a series of bad news about the personnel situation. The team, which is currently in poor form with 8 defeats in the last 11 matches, is now missing important pillars, directly affecting the team’s depth.

After Chris Paul and Gary Payton II had to leave the field last Wednesday in a 123-124 loss to the Sacramento Kings, coach Steve Kerr’s team has just received a new injury.

The reason for this player’s injury is quite strange.

Andrew Wiggins is the latest injury case of the Golden State Warriors

Andrew Wiggins was absent from the Golden State Warriors’ December 1 match because of a finger injury. More specifically, the Canadian pitcher got his finger stuck in the car door on the way to the practice field with his teammates.

Although he tried to practice throwing to review the situation, Wiggins later felt unwell, leading to the Golden State coaching staff giving the 1995-born player a one-match break.

After trying to practice throwing with his teammates, Wiggins felt unwell and retired from the match against the LA Clippers on December 1.

Without Wiggins, the Warriors had a hard-fought victory over the LA Clippers at home with a score of 120-114. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry took turns shining in the fourth quarter, helping Golden State stop their opponent’s comeback.

The person who replaced Andrew in the starting lineup, Moses Moody, played relatively well, scoring 13 points (6-10 FG) in 28 minutes of play.

Like Chris Paul, Andrew Wiggins will not have to miss too long due to injury this time

Once an All-Star player in the starting lineup in 2022 (2021-22 season), Andrew Wiggins has shown signs of decline in the 2022-23 season and is going through a series of difficult days in the current season.

The player born in 1995 is averaging 12.8 points with 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals, along with an efficiency of 43.4% FG and 26.7% 3PT in 27 minutes of play per match. Ominously, all of these stats are at the lowest level of Wiggins’ career since arriving in the NBA.
