When the orangutan Suryia was young, he lost both his parents. Living in a rare wildlife sanctuary, Suryia was always sad, lost her appetite, did not sleep, and did not comply with any treatment from the doctor.
Until one day, while walking on the street with Bubbles the elephant and the sanctuary staff, Suryia discovered a stray dog. The boy immediately ran up to the dog and started playing closely as if they were friends he hadn’t seen for a long time.
The couple became close friends from their first meeting.
After playing for a while, they said goodbye to the dog and returned home. However, the dog seems not ready to part. He wriggled through the gates and found Suryia’s residence. As soon as Suryia saw the dog, she immediately rushed over and they continued to play together.
The sanctuary staff tried to find an owner for the dog many times but failed, so they decided to keep him and name him Roscoe.
Since then, Suryia and Roscoe have become inseparable friends. They played together, swam together and Suryia even took Roscoe for a walk. Suryia gives Roscoe monkey cookies and when they both feel lazy, they like to walk on the back of Bubbles the elephant.

More impressively, the soulmates also… “released” their own photo book, recording moments of fun playing together. Suryia and Roscoe even had a book launch with a large number of fans in attendance!

It is known that dogs are often afraid of primates such as monkeys, orangutans,… but Roscoe and Suryia immediately became close friends at first sight. This is difficult to explain. However, this couple also shows us that, sometimes, true friendship will transcend all boundaries of age and species.
