Super Bowl champion, Clyde Edwards-Helaire‘s viral video of him embracing Brittany Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas has seen him trolled by fans but now the running back has hit back at those critics in a rather surprising way.
Patrick Mahomes‘ wife was, obviously, present at the victory parade celebrations as the Chiefs were showing off the Lombardi Trophy for their overtime win against the Bay Area side, their third Super Bowl win in just six seasons under the quarterback’s steady arm.
And as she was present at the event as a family member and familiar face with all of the crew at the event on Wednesday, February 14 and she went viral as Edwards-Helaire pulled her into a hug, although he didn’t see it as anything serious and took to social media to declare that.
“My first Time seeing Brit w/o having to go play a game all year!,” Edwards-Helaire pushed on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Go ask my Fiance to see her Ring since we wanna talk!”
Mahomes started the NFL year with her husband winning the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 and she has started 2024 in the exact same way but things are different now.
She’s raising her two kids with him after he secured a restructured contract to earn more in the short-term, whilst she has also formed a close bond with Taylor Swift.
Swift is dating Travis Kelce, the team’s tight end and they have often been spotted together in executive boxes at the Arrowhead Stadium in what quickly appears to be becoming a best friends dynamic.
And she navigated lots of criticism for basically existing, showing that she has the tough character needed to be a modern celebrity. Whilst Patrick will take the plaudits for his on-field performances, Brittany‘s also had her own year of success.
